Can you believe there are only six weeks to go until our last meeting for the year – the PCC 2020 Annual General Meeting?!!
It’s been a roller coaster of a year with COVID seeing monthly meetings moving online, and the opportunity for tours and workshops only recently opening up again. Thank you for hanging in there and a big welcome to all our new members! Yes, we managed to increase membership this year, which tells you how important Permaculture is for our community and the Earth at this time!
The aim of Permaculture Central Coast is to promote permaculture as a sustainable solution to local environmental and social issues through education, and by sharing information, ideas and surplus. It is a not-for-profit organisation run completely by volunteer community members.
The reason for this email is to ask you to consider nominating yourself, or someone else, (with their permission of course) for one of the office bearing or general positions for 2021. You might even consider sharing a role with a friend if you are concerned about the commitment. It doesn’t matter if you are new to PCC or have been a member for years! It’s about People Care, Fair Share – and keeping the club alive. Diversity is key to any healthy permaculture system so please consider stepping up. It’s only for one year, it won’t take up a lot of your time, it’s fun and you get to help shape PCC.
Here is the complete list of volunteer roles to be filled, along with brief job descriptions.
The nomination form can be downloaded here. Please email your nomination to the secretary@permaculturecc.org.au by Friday 6th November. Proposers/seconders can be arranged by the committee and your email will be accepted as signatory consent.
There are four office bearing roles (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) and 17 general roles to be filled. Please note that all positions are vacated in November at the AGM, and then re-elected for the coming year.
If you have any questions about any of the positions, please email the president@permaculturecc.org.au, have a chat to a current committee member, or join us for the October committee meeting to see what goes on.
We are in interesting times and we are looking for people who can help us adapt and thrive going forward and into the future. So don’t be shy, please come and join us!
Thank you.
