It was a hot weekend all around the Central Coast but at our Permie gathering yesterday at Camp Breakaway there was a gentle breeze wafting up from the lake and it was a really pleasant day!
We had a mini working bee, tending to the gardens and planting some vegetable seedlings, took a guided walk around the site including the large sensory garden, and learnt about the centre and the services it provides. Camp Breakaway is the only place of it’s kind offering such extensive services in the whole of Australia. And they do this with no goverment assistance! It seems quite an amazing place and volunteers are always required.
We completed our outdoor activities with the usual wonderful shared lunch ? and a chat. Thank you to those who came along.
